Interface I Like:
Android 3.1 Honeycomb with Touchwiz UX
Description and Why I Like It:
It's simply Android 3.1 Honeycomb with Samsung's Touchwiz interface over it. Honeycomb itself is already highly customizable which is awesome (much more so than iOS). The reason I like Samsung's Touchwiz interface over it is because it allows the user to truly multi-task (having two applications open at once, not just having some running in the background). It is also MUCH easier to kill apps so that RAM is not wasted. Samsung also made more of the settings available quicker (instead of having to navigate to "Settings" many of them appear when you touch the clock). I'm not a fan of the change in the bottom toolbar's appearance, but overall it makes things easier.
Interface I Don't Like:
Adobe Photoshop CS5
Description and Why I Don't Like It:
Adobe Photoshop is a very powerful photo editing program that make drastic changes with "ease". It provides many tools such as blur, clone, magic wand, etc. Unfortunately it has a steep learning curve. It offers little to no explanation on how to perform simple operations but when mastered one can do great things. Unfortunately it's so difficult to use that there are courses devoted to learning it. Things such as how to deselect whatever you have selected aren't immediately apparent (turns out you have to click a select tool then click anywhere in the image with dragging, you can'w always just use step-back). The difficulty of use combined with it's large price tag cause this to be one of my least liked interfaces (I know price is what we should necessarily be talking about but I should be able to do whatever I want to an image in an easy fashion if the program I'm using costs almost as much as my computer).
